olveston11 CA New 20-20 Cricket Bat: ... impression and price etc<> My first impressions of this bat was that it was heavy, at 2lb 10 it was always going to be fairly heavy but the pick up made it feel nearer 3lbs. The kashmir willow looked alright, it had lots of grains and a few blemishes but the grains were quite wonky. The stickers were very bright and a bit too busy for my liking. The profile looked big and edges quite chunky. For ...

olveston11 Upfront Cricket Middling Thin Bat
... impression (price etc)<> On receiving this bat i was surprised as the quality of wood. Although the wood is only kashmir it had some nice grains and looked sturdy. It picks up nicely and the stickers are very good. I payed around £20 for this bat which is fairly good considering the benefits you will get out of it. <>Performance<> The weight of the bat helps the ball go further when you hit it. It pings quite nicely off the middle and picks up very nicely. It helps if you put 2 grips on the handle, this betters the pick up and makes the bat feel nearer your match bat. The bat is around 70mm thick so much smaller than your match bat. <...

krispygail Squash - General
... have just recently started playing squash, my dad playing regularly kept nagging me to join, so i thought i would go along once to stop him annoying me, but every week i now play it! Squash is a sport played by two people and is played indoors. There are four walls and you can hit the ball of any of them. The court is split into half and then split into half again, as seen in the picture. When serving to the other player you have to hit above the top red line. Then after serve you can hit the ball below the top red line but not below the bottom red line. (this is on the wall you are facing). There are also lines around the walls in which you are not allowed to hit abo...

shuttlex Tennis Racquets - General Tips & Comments
... seems that the average tennis player spends far more money on tennis racquets and equipment than necessary. Before one buys an expensive racquet one should have mastered the basic strokes and be able to hold a rally hitting the ball at least 20 times. On the other hand a tennis pro has very catered needs so an expensive tennis racquet is required. For an amateur, even the cheapest racquet will do. Go to Lilywhites in Piccadilly Circus in London and one can buy a decent beginners racquet for approx £15. For those who want to play a more competitive level of tennis I would recommend a slightly more expensive racquet in the region of £50. Still, even for this level of...
