Advantages: cheap compared to gopeds
Disadvantages: Poor battery, making it totaly useless
The razor E300 is an electric scooter, similar to the razors E200 and E100, but it can handle a much heavier load, of just under 100kg!
However, most of how this product is marketed to you is a lie! I shall explain.
If you look at the detail of this scooter, it clearly states run time is around 45 minutes. Although this may be the case for a very light person on the very first run, each time you recharge the battery, the run time decreases, and the more you weigh, the less the run time is. A more realistic run time is between 10 to 15 minutes, as not only is the run time they give you with a brand new battery, but is also with noone riding it, and at slower speeds. This means that the range on this scooter is fairly pathetic, and this is not to be used as a sort of easier mode of transport, more something to blast out every now and again.
Secondly, the top speed of 15mph, is when noone is actually standing on the thing, so the implied range of around 11 miles, is more like a range of somewhere between 2-5 miles, depending on weight, speed at which you go at, how new your battery is, weather conditions and so on.
The reason this scooter has such a poor battery, is that is has only one! All other electric scooters of similar class, (for example gopeds) have 2, and even up to 4 batterys, to allow for faster speeds, and longer distances. Whats more, they tend to have an "economy" mode, to allow you to go further per charge, but this has no such feature. And, whats more, the batterys for these things wear out incredibly quickly, like after 2 charges, you may have gone from 30 mins to 10 mins! This can be by the way that the batteries for these scooters are almost constantly sold out, due to the number of people buying them.
So, in conclusion:
This scooter does not offer anything that other electric scooters do not have, except for the ability to carry heavier people, (aka adults and teenagers). My advice is save up your money for a goped, they are much more reliable, fast, and have a longer range, and they fold down, making them useful for getting places. This really has no real use what so ever, this is just for messing about with, and for £200, you could get an xbox 360, which you can use even when it is raining!
Summary: Save for a goped, or get a bike, or a scooter, or an xbox 360
