One of the things I did before I recently moved from Scotland to Spain was to give away all of my exercise equipment. Don't know why I did that but it seemed like a good idea at the time. However, I have now decided to build it all up again and started with the rebounder trampoline which I ordered from a UK department store and which was brought over by my parents on their recent visit. It cost £24.99 which I thought was a reasonable price. (I think it cost a bit more on excess luggage too) The first thing that struck me, when I met my red-faced father off the plane, was the size of the trampoline..ok, 95cms diameter might not seem big but I had ... I was given a rebounder for Christmas and it has since become my favourite piece of home exercise equipment. My rebounder is identical to that in the photo used to illustrate this section and cost £17.99 from Argos which I think is a very reasonable price. Lets consider some facts. The frame is made from steel, the jumping surface is made from a strong heavy duty nylon. It will take a weight of up to 100kg/16st. The edging is padded with covered foam and the description gives the diameter as 92cm. The diameter should be clarified better. The diameter of the whole rebounder is 92cm, I've had my tape measure out and the actual rebounding surface ... Read the complete review

Mini trampoline, trampette or rebounder, whatever you want to call these they are in fact just a mini trampoline used for exercise. Recently the price on these seems to have reduced, when I purchased mine it was about £25 but now I see them all over for £10. Either price, they are not expensive. To use them you basically screw the legs on and jump on! Easy so far. You can jog, bounce, do jumping jacks, jump and twist and any other combination of jumpng you can think of. I bought mine more for jogging type movements. I figured it would be easier on the knees and feet than pounding the pavements so thought this would be a brilliant addition to my home ... Now before all of you kids start marvelling at the little picture that goes with this opinion, relax. It is a MINI trampoline used for FITNESS. It is NOT a toy...It is NOT a toy...It is NOT... Oh come on Andy, who are you trying to kid? This is one of those fitness devices that belongs in the shed alongside your Abdomoniser, Chest Press,Rowing machine and roller-abs. You know you will spend the £30 on the mini trampet and use it twice if you are lucky. But hey, wait, there is so much you can do on it that I am gonna tell you about! Firstly, let me tell you about its construction. Made from Tubular Mini Steel legs with Plastic caps ... Read the complete review

You often see rebounders - little trampolines - lurking in the back of gyms, spurned by the 'real' fitness-freaks. I don't know why, they are wonderful inventions that deserve much more prominence in the fitness market. I bought my Body Sculpture Rebounder years ago from a UK catalogue shop. It was £19.99 and they are still around that price. It is well made and has certainly lasted well. Rebounding experts try to sell much more expensive models, claiming that support bars are necessary (only if you have a serious balance problem or have been hitting the wine), or that the quality of theirs is better. Rubbish. Body Sculpture are a ... Read the complete review
