Advantages: cheap, easy to assemble, easy to store

Disadvantages: limited moves you can do so get boring very quickly

Mini trampoline, trampette or rebounder, whatever you want to call these they are in fact just a mini trampoline used for exercise. Recently the price on these seems to have reduced, when I purchased mine it was about £25 but now I see them all over for £10. Either price, they are not expensive.

To use them you basically screw the legs on and jump on! Easy so far. You can jog, bounce, do jumping jacks, jump and twist and any other combination of jumpng you can think of. I bought mine more for jogging type movements. I figured it would be easier on the knees and feet than pounding the pavements so thought this would be a brilliant addition to my home equipment.

The first time I tried it for jogging I realised the whole trampoline effect made it more difficult, as you lift one leg of course the shape of the surface you're on changes and it can lead to a loss of control of the stationary foot position. Not great as many runners already have a problem with this anyway.

So I decided to use it for bouncing. Yes, it's a trampoline so it does bounce but no it isn't a full size trampoline so it isn't wise to bounce too high and bounce right off! I used to tell everyone at work I was doing back-flips etc just for a laugh and one or two actually believed this was possible on such a small trampoline!! It isn't unless you're a fully paid up member of an acrobatics team!

So bouncing, small bounces and trying to remain on the trampoline and well, that's it really! I got bored of mine very fast and it now resides behind a bed upstairs minus it's legs. So another good point, easy storage if you don't like it!

One of my friends had one of these too and she also tucked hers away somewhere after a brief time never to see the light again.

They do provide a cardio workout but there's not that much you can do with them so they can get boring rather quickly.

Summary: Ok if you're not easily bored
