Advantages: A true gym quality bike

Disadvantages: Manual a little vague

I've owned a 'Pro Fitness' cheapo exercise bike for the past 2 years, and now find the highest tension too easy, so thought I would take advantage of a good offer and take the plunge with this Reebok Cycle.

Item came in a box and required assembly. It was a complete breath of fresh air compared to my old bike though (which was hell on earth). You literally only need to put about 4 pieces together and tighten about 7 screws. Feel good now its out the way and ready to go.

The most important thing for me with this cycle was the tension levels, and I must say I was not dissapointed in the slightest. There are 8 different levels, level 2 compares roughly to the highest on my old bike. Level 3 kills me after a couple of minutes. Natually level 8 feels like you are trying to cycle up a wall. This is great for me, as there is plenty of room for improvement. The build quality is also excellent, its heavy and has a great quality feel around it. The screen is huge and very readable.

There are a number of built in modes you can select from, such as 10 minute varied terrain runs (with the tension changing each minute, all displayed on the monitor). You can also create your own custom runs. Theres also heart rate monitor modes, as well as body fat calculation and recovery calculations.

While cycling you can view your time, speed (in mph), distance (in miles), roughly how many calories you have burnt, and your pulse (if your hands are on the pulse monitor). All of these statistics make using this cycle very addictive. If you are like me, you can keep track of your speeds and distances and times on a spreadsheet along with the date, and keep updating it every time you use it. It really lets you see your improvement and gives you targets to work towards.

The other little touches are well welcomed too, such as a drink holder, and cushoined saddle.

My only complaint is that the manual is very vague and a dodgy translation. I didnt find it too difficult to figure out how to use all the modes though.
I would highly recomment this exercise bike, you wont be dissapointed.

Summary: Much better than the 'Budget' Exercise Bikes
