Got these Rockports really cheap on ebay for I think about £45 so good value compared to the retail price and even next to other shoes. They are boots primarily for walking and although not light as a pair of shoes they are quite light compared to other boots.

The styling is classic and has a quality feel to it with good stitching and nice soft leather. The umbwe boasts a lot of technology to help make the shoe better. It has the Rockport XCS system including an EVA insole meant to be softer on the soles of the feet. It also has addidas torsion for the shock absorption like a trainer and Vibram sole. The leather is also waterproofed in what Rockport call Hydroshield. The boot definitely feels a lot nicer although could do with a bit more padding and support around the ankle. The sole is very solid and offers a lot of grip - I think it would take a long time to wear them out but I would not spend too much money on them as I think the RRP is a bit much.

Summary: Good set of boots if bought at a low price
