These are my feet's favourite shoes, the Scarpa Zen Lady, I own 3 pairs now! There is also a men's version, which I believe are much the same apart from the colour and sizing.

What Is The Zen Lady?
-------------------------------
The name of this shoe says it all, Zen - a perfect balance. This shoe is at home walking on trails but also out bouldering or for everyday use. Scarpa market this shoe as an approach shoe and of course they are spot on with that description.

My Experience
--------------------
I wear a pair of these almost every day. I find them really comfortable although the sole is quite rigid in order to help with climbing so not a shoe to be running in. The extra rubber on the toe is great as it stops you banging your toes when you accidentally kick rocks along the path. I have managed to get my shoes really dirty on occasions but the mud just rubs of easily when dry. My oldest pair, now 3 years old, are only just beginning to wear down on the sole but still not anywhere near the point of throwing away. If you get the chance to try a pair of these go for it.
Summary: An excellent approach shoe for walking and bouldering
