Revolving fun (Science Museum Strength Ball)
Member Name: durhamapple
Advantages: Small, LCD recording monitor, fun with friends, fun alone Disadvantages: Small starter chord which is easy to lose This has to be one of the more bizarre pieces of 'sporting' equipment on the market. To be honest it only exercises your forearm and wrist, so if you want to build up strenth in these places then it's for you, if not then don't bother buying it. EXCEPT that it's extraordinarily good fun and because the LCD monitor records the revs per minute and retains the record, it means you can have some weird and wonderful competitions with friends and see who comes out on top. It's a slightly fiddly process to get it going having to thread a red string round the outside of the inner sphere and then rip it away to get the sphere moving. It's also inevitable that a tiny red string will get lost, but I suppose that's not the products fault. To finish on a plus, it is something that you can just sit and watch TV and use, slowly building up strenth in your arm without feeling like you had to push weights or run a marathon. Sure it's not the most effective weight loss or fitness toy, but it's A LOT OF FUN! Summary: A great little toy that'll bring bundles of fun |
