Advantages: Light, strong, reliable, little vibration

Disadvantages: Option of different grips would be nice

This is the newest bow in the Sebastian Flute Range. For those of you that don't know, Seb Flute won the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and has now teamed up with Win&Win to produce some high performance, attractive and affordable equipment.

This bow is made from a double layer of Carbon Fiber, to be strong and light, making it both stable, smooth and vibration free. Available as left or right handed, and a length of 25" this bow is suitable for most draw lengths. It weighs 1.18kg. There are a number of colour options available: Black, White, Cobalt Blue, Dark Red, Orange and Silver. All of these look really nice, I went for the black version which has orange detailing.

There are plenty of options for fixtures and fittings, there is the usual long rod mount, top rod, bottom rod, clicker mount and also separate holes for a pressure button and arrow rest. There is also the ability to adjust the tiller, limb allignment etc. for fine tuning, although it is all set up ready to use.

There have been quite a few interested people talking to me about my new bow, and they have all commented on how nice it sounds when shot, and how nice it looks and feels in the hand. I have to say that it is one of the nicest bows I have shot, and is really smooth to draw, fast to shoot, and there is also very little vibration too. I am well on my way to Bowman and beyond with this bow.

Coming in at around £285 this bow is excellent value, and offers excellent performance that you could easily pay an extra £100 to £150 more for!

When purchasing this bow I also opted to get the new SF Carbon Foam limbs as there was a 'deal' going, these are available for around £185. They match this riser perfectly, and the performance together is great. Of course you can always use your existing International Fitting limbs, or buy any others too, although not the new Hoyt limbs as they have gone and changed how they percieve the International fitting to work! If you are getting your first top level bow kitted out there are also carbon rests, stabilisers and sights available from SF that will match your new riser nicely.

The only negative point I would say about this riser is that it would be nice to have the option of different height grips. The supplied grip feels lovely, and has a soft touch finish to it, but if you want a different style grip then this may cause a problem. Being a brand new model however I am certain some different grips will be produced shortly.

Summary: Top performance carbon fiber recurve bow for a very good price

Wow- that's a impressive looking thing!
I've got to admit I never knew they did high tech bows... sure has moved on from when I was a kid and tied a hazel twig up!
