Advantages: Cheap, no leaks, hard wearing
Disadvantages: Not much choice of colours
I have just bought two very good sports drinking bottles from our local Asda. They were bought to replace my (extremely old and knackered) drinking bottles, which I have had for years now. We don't shop at Asda too often as the nearest one is about 10 miles from were we love and it was purely by chance that we went in and I found these bottles, but I am pleased we did.
They come in an assortment of bright colours - I chose blue (as I am a bloke) but the wife bought one for herself in a fairly vivid shade of pink. The reason I use these is that I go fishing on my bike when the weather is nice at weekends and also I take the little lad sometimes. More often than not we are thirsty and need a drink and I thought these looked ideal.
They are a good quality plastic and what I personally like about them is that they are not a rigid type of plastic, like my old sports water bottles were - these are ever so slightly pliable so that I can even gently squeeze the contents of the fluid out and into my mouth. Also, my other old water bottle was leaking very badly and causing me damp patches all inside my bag. Having said that though, my old bottle was VERY old and it had served me well, so who's to say these bottles won't start to leak when they get older.
As for the present time, however, they definitely do NOT leak and I can personally vouch for that. They appear completely leak -proof and are durable and hard wearing as I have sent them skittering across the concrete a few times and they show no signs of any wear or tear.
They are lightweight and the perfect size and the little lad takes his to school with his with his packed lunch. He just jams stuff into his backpack any which way, and as I say, there is no sign of any leakage so far. We are well impressed.
Overall, I would have to say we are all very pleased with our Asada Sports Bottles so far. At only £1.30 a pop I think they represent excellent vale for money and I am very pleased with our purchase.
The only thing I would have liked was more colour choice.
Summary: Great bottles
