Introduction

A decent pair of goggles are extremely important when swimming to ensure clear vision and if competitive the right goggles can pay big dividends.

Design

The Speedo speed sockets are some of the best designed goggles on the market and very popular especially with competitive swimmers. They have a fairly low profile design to reduce drag in the water and fit the contours of the face really well so are very comfortable this is also due to the soft rubber around the edge which add cushioning but also make a water tight seal. They have a double strap made from very strong rubber that doesn't stretch too much to secure them onto your head.

Reliability

I have found these goggles to be extremely reliable I have worn them in many different competitions and often in training and they have never let me down. They are very effective at keeping out the water and always stay securely on the face especially after the dive which is when this is most likely to occur.

Comfort

Overall these goggles are extremely comfortable they come with a number of interchangeable nose pieces so that they fit the nose of the bridge effectively. They may take some getting used to and they may require a bit of adjusting to get them just right, but when you get there they are great.

Colour Choices

Speedo manufacturer these goggles in a number of different colours including black, silver, blue and gold, There are also a range of different lenses available such as a black, clear, smoked and mirrored which are all down to personal preference but I tend to go for the all black style. Black goggles with a black lens but they all look good

Conclusion

The right pair of goggles can make or break you when swimming, they have to be reliable and comfortable for you to perform at you best. The Speedo speed sockets are a brilliant pair of goggles costing upwards of £15 which isn't cheap but they should last a long time and are some of the best goggles out there in my opinion.
