People who say squash is a dyeing game ought to take a trip to some of te junior tournaments held around the country. All that you need to do is contact the SRA and ask when the next tournament is in your area. The standard of the juniors in this country is above and beyond the standard of the more loved sports ( football, tennis, cricket) England are world team champions at very few sports so they should make the most of the sports that they really have a chance in. With the talent available to the country to ingnore it would be a sin. So I beg you if you have a child that is interested in taking up a sport, take them to your nearest squash club and let them have a go. I have never known a junior that hasn't enjoyed playing the game.It is great stress relief to go out and hit a ball as hard as you can, and is better than tennis because no matter where you hit it you don't have to go far to get it, although this is a small thing for young kids this is quite useful, they will develop their hand eye coordination aswell Don't let it die because it isn't dead yet, you can contact the SRA (squash rackets association) on 0161 2314499, and they will give you information on up and coming events in your area.
