... more than £100. I bought a 1999 callaway steelhead for £90 and have found it to make my driving better than before. There's no point in spending any more money on a Driver, when it is only used for about 16 shots in a round. It is far better to spend the extra money you save on a good putter or wedge, which will probably be used considerably more than you driver. Also the steelhead driver makes the most beautiful sound, even if you misshit the shot. ...more

Premium Review Steelhead Woods: the new steelhead plus is a pleasure to work with! (226 words)

I was a player of a fairly desent standard with a handicap of 18. i bought a steelhead plus and my handicap has improved drastically, it is now 12! The sheer briliance of the callaway club fills me with confidence as i tee off on the opening hole of my local course. I'm a junior golfer and prior to my purchase of my steelhead plus, reg graphite shaft, i was driving 200 yards on average, now i'm driving at least 225! The extra yardage makes par 4 and 5's so much easier as there is not as much pressure in playing the 2nd shot. The sound of the ball leave the clubface is of such brilliance that i am bemused by it. I must admit i hit afew bad shots, i used to use ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Callaway Steelhead driver (115 words)

I bought a new callaway stealhead driver of 10 degree loft with a graphite shaft for £150. Although reasonably expensive the clubs performance in terms of distance of the tee was exceptional. The club enhanced my driving capability by at least an extra 30-50 yards. This sometimes means the difference between the fairway and a ditch or water hazard. I would recommend the driver with a strong loft and a graphite shaft. However the disadvatage is that if you as a golfer tends to slice your drives then the Callaway will be quite erratic. I would reccomend this club to the mid to low handicapper. Also the Callaway steelhead fairway woods are very good off the deck. ...  Read the complete review

Unless you're loaded, I advise you to buy a Calaway Steelhead driver. You can buy the 1999 model now for under £100, and it's well worth it. You may laugh, my handicap was 26, the steehead came out and my handicap is now 18 and still goin down. I am 14 by the way so it aint that bad. I would recommend it to anyone who has half a brain and who likes golf (not neil cooper then) LOL. Private joke. BUY IT!!! ...  Read the complete review
