Swingball has been around for many years and never fails to excite who ever plays it! it is the most fun you can have in your garden with the whole family. I am not sure how much I paid for it because we have had it for many years. our is starting to fall apart because we have used it so much! I think its time for me to get a new swingball stand!

The aim of the game is to be the first person to hit the ball to the top! you can play with 2 people, or practice by yourself. You have to be careful though, if you lose concentration the ball will eventually smack you around the head, as I have found out over the past 10 years! the best thing about the game is the fact that you can play with all ages, kids will enjoy playing with each other, adults will enjoy hitting the ball so hard that it nearly flies of the rope! Its a great family game. You also do not need a large garden to play, just an area big enough to hit the ball safely without running into a wall etc.

The version I have does not go into the ground, it has a large base which you fill up with water! this stops it from moving in the wind, or when you are hitting the ball rather hard. older versions were just a spike into the ground, these tended to come out of the ground mid game and were slightly dangerous to whoever the pole flew towards! haha.

The set comes with two bats, they are plastic, but rather thick. So they do pack a punch when you hit the ball. There is a tennis ball at the end of the rope and this is what you hit back to your oppenent. if you miss the ball when it comes your way it will mean you are starting to lose! you must hit it back! its hilarious fun.

the game is very old, my dad used to play it in his teens, so its been around for a while. I think its a must have for this summer! It also helps improve hand eye co-ordination and could help you get better at other racket sports! such as tennis, badminton and squash. Its rather fun and will pass the time! Every garden should have a swingball!

Overall, I would recommend this to absolutely anyone out there! you dont have to be too fit to play and you will learn different techniques to help you win! Give it a try, your kids (and you :p) will love using it!
