My cousin has this game in her back garden and it basically consists of a metal pole with a ball attached to a string. Each player has a bat and the trick is to hit it all the way around until the ball can swing no further. One player hits one way and the other player hits the other. It's that simple! The up sides to this game is that ... Read the complete review

Swingball was an essential game to play during the long and lazy summer holidays when I was a youngster. The basic premise is simple - Swingball is a tennis ball on a string that moves up and down a spiral to determine the winner (being the person who gets it to the top or bottom depending on which hand they're hitting with). All of ... Read the complete review

Swingball is a great fun game with a lot of versatility. First off, this is a good game because you can play it with one or two players. If you're on your own you can still play, taking it in turns to practice your backstroke and forehand. However, if you've got someone to play with it takes on a whole new level of fun as you get ... You're never to old for swingball! One of the only games I've ever found that you can hit the ball as hard as you can, for this reasons (boys especially) love it, i know i did when i was young. There are two types, ones with bases and ones where you stick it into the ground, i have found the base one are more versatile as you can use them where ... Read the complete review

Summer time came again and we decided to go out and buy a new swingball because mine had broken the previous year. I remembered when I was small I had a Swingball, the orignal one that you had to bang into the ground but I found the new one that goes into the tub of water and thought this sounded much more practical. Swingball is a long ... Read the complete review

Swingball is one of these toys that you just expect to see in some-ones back garden over the summer period. Between most people I know there is a mixed reaction about this product and if I'm truthful I have to side with those who don't particularly like it. ~~ What is Swingball ~~ For those people who muct never step out of ... Swingball!! What such fun!! I first remember playing swingball in my parents back garden with my sister. I loved it back then and I still love it now (althought I have not played it in ages) Swingball basically consists of a long metal tube, sometimes these have a stand and other times they dig into your garden with a ... In between the showers today it was a sunny day so my 9 year old grandaughter pulled the Swingball set out of the shed. I brought it in the sales just before Christmas so this is the first time it has been used. The set is packed into the blue box that will eventually become the base of the Swingball. Everything is tidily packed and it ... Read the complete review

I am still on my mission so get the garden done for summer and stock up on my toys that's going to keep the kids entertained and get them to keep active at the same time. We initially bought this set a couple of years ago. The previous reviewer has not mentioned that in order for the base to remain stable during vigorous play by older children, we have had to fill it with concrete. It rocked around wildly and the game was unplayable even when filled with damp sand or water. Also we have got through ... Read the complete review

If simple ideas are always the best, Swingball has all the makings of a classic toy. It was voted outdoor toy of the year 2003 by the Toy Retailers Association. ~What is it?~ *********** A tennis ball is attached to the end of a piece of string, the other end being loosely affixed to a post, which in turn is fitted into ... Charlottes birthday fell slap bank in the middle of the heat wave in August so we decided to buy her an outdoor toy that we could all use. I remembered when I was small I had a Swingball but didn't for one minute think they still made them, so when I spotted one while I was browsing through the Argos book I had a brainwave and brought ... Whenever I look for toys for my son, I have to bear in mind that, as an only child, it is a good idea to get things that he can both play with others and entertain himself with. This is where Swingball comes into it's own. It is a game that can be played with great enjoyment on your own just as much as with other players. So this made an ideal ... Read the complete review

I was a teenager when swingball first come out, and since then there have been many imitations, but the original swingball has been all conquering. However, in the 20 years (is it really that long), since it first appeared the swingball has undergone something of a makeover, and has spawned a few new varieties, including the one I'm going to tell ... Over years we have had many versions or copies of the popular garden game, but as always you get what you pay for The Original is by far the best as far as quality of materials and operation are concerned. The unique corkscrew attachment at the top provides a mechanism for allowing the ball to spin with very few tangles, whilst ... Read the complete review
