Table tennis in fact originated from England as an after-dinner amusement for upper-class Victorians in the late 1880s. It is a fabulous sport and I love playing it. The down side is that it doesn't give you much exercise and is really quite hard to find a club where you can play table tennis. However, from around £250 you can buy your very own table tennis table and then get your own bats to start playing with your family and friends! The game is now an Olympic sport and the 2001, 2005 and 2007 world champion is Wang Liqin, from China. It is a very fast-paced game and each player requires very quick reactions to play at the professional stage. When having a ...  Read the complete review

Tabel tennis is also known as Ping pong. It is now an Olympic sport, mainly due to lobbying from the Chinese, who excel in this game. It is not very clear what the origin of the game are, however, it is fair to say that the modern version, with a hollow ball which is being bounced from one side to the other of the table, goes back to the beginning of the 20th Century and it was originally in the USA that the game was developped. A table to play this game needs space, it is hardly the table you can leave in your bedroom or dining room, but if you have agarden, then you should be fine. 300 pounds will buy you a good table withthe net and ...  Read the complete review

Table Tennis is miniature version of Tennis. Tennis is played on a ground surface court, table tennis is played on a table, and a small net divides the areas of two players or teams. The ball used is small and shallow from inside. It only weighs 2.7 gram and 40 mm (formerly 38 mm) in diameter. The players use small paddle like rackets to play. Aim is to hit the ball Players hit the ball back and forth, holding a rally until one player loses. Table Tennis could be played as singles or doubles (two players on either side). The game has its roots in Victorian Britain. People of that age when it was played using various objects as after dinner ...  Read the complete review

I'm a big fan of table tennis and have been since I was first introduced to it many years ago at junior school by one of my tutors. Everybody in the class was made to play once a week at lunchtime, it started of as a bit of a laugh and good exercise, but soon we all started to get the hang of the game and so the teacher decided to start a league, it was great fun. I think I finished in the top third if I remember rightly. Table Tennis is similar to Tennis except the playing surface is obviously a lot smaller and raised off of the ground, the ball is also a lot smaller and made of a completely different material. Table tennis also uses small wooden bats ...  Read the complete review

Table Tennis aka Ping Pong is a sport which im sure alot of people have heard of. It is a very enjoyable sport, and speakin from experience, a sport which i have alot of time for. Basically the rules are the same as tennis however the equipment could not be any more different. The Table is obviosly raised off the ground as opposed to Tennis, wooden paddles covered in rubber material are used instead of rackets and finally the difference in the celluloid ball is the final major distinguishing difference between the two sports. Either 2 or 4 players cant participate in any one match, however the rules slightly change, however th concept remains the ...  Read the complete review
