I am a table tennis player, does this mean i wear glasses, play no other sports, stay glued to my t.v. for any mention of Star Trek, squeal at the mention of girls and hate the thought of ever going out? The aswer is no. Why is there this stereotype that table tennis is sad? Table tennis can be exciting, captivating and enthrawling to watch. The game can be played at speeds of up to 90 m.p.h, now tell me that's boring.T obe a table tennis player you have to strong, quick, agile and clever to achieve any success. But people do not realise this as it is an 'underground' sport simply because people do not watch it. But if you watched the olympics in September and saw some of the world's best players playing then you would realise why it is so popular, but without the general publics knowledge. So next tim someone says that they play table tennis don't laugh at them, admire them because there is such a thing as a cool table tennis player. Just take a look at Terry Young and Gareth Herbert.
