Before you buy a pair of tennis shoes you need to consider the type of court surface you will be playing on. Some tennis shoes are only suitable for indoor courts and would not fare well on astro turf for example. I usually play on astro turf and find my shoes wear out fairly quickly due to the rough surface. You really do need to ensure you have good grip to prevent slipping over when running for a ball.

Tennis, for me, is the best sport in the world. Unfortunately it is also very expensive! When you add up the cost of joining a club, coaching fees, racquets and clothing the it amounts to a substantial sum of money. Like most sports to play seriously you will need the correct gear.
