Advantages: small light, big enough for 2 adults 1 sm child

Disadvantages: none

The tent we used for Glastonbury was a two man euro hike. We also are going to use it when we go in to Spain after visiting friends in the French Pyrenees.
Our tent is about 4 or 5 years old cost about £40 it is a green 2-man tent, yes it is big enough for 2 Adults and a child a bit of a squeeze but fine for a night or 2.
The tent comes in a bag with handles fairly light, easy to carry.

This Euro hike tent is easy to put up.
There is an outer waterproof skin this is supported by flexible rods, which you slide into place, and an inner skin, which you fix to the outer tent with lots of toggles; this inner tent has ground sheet attached already. There are tent pegs to fix the tent to the ground to stop it blowing away.
It takes me 15 minutes to put it up on my own (I timed myself last year) Less time with another.

Yes it is waterproof! We have used it at Glastonbury in the rainstorms. A hint if you are going to Glasto and it looks like rain pitch your tent on the top of the hill not at the bottom. Still it?s not going to rain this year.
Another Glasto festival hint/tip is make sure when you camp you note a landmark near your tent. And yes there lots of tents all the same, make your tent different to everyone else?s. I usually decorate mine with tinsel I planted a huge plastic flower by it one year but that gained legs and walked. A flag is a good idea.
This hint of making sure you know where your tent is applies to all festivals, as it gets cold at night. At night you hear many people stumbling around in a haze calling their friends names.
Another useful tip is do not leave anything of value in your Euro hike tent its easy to get into. One night when we were asleep we heard A rustling turned over and continues sleeping in the morning we discovered some one stolen a bag with tampons and a ½ bottle of water and a half eaten sandwich. Sadly a friend in another tent had more valuable stuff stolen. So do not leave t
hings of value in tent during day and do not leave things of value within easy reach of door at night.

Anyway enough about Glastonbury camping these little tents are great for festivals but also for holidays.(sorry if I went on about Glastonbury a bit this op was written before Glastonbury)

Although we have not done so I think it would be possible to backpack walking several miles a day carrying one of these.
We have carried tents of similar weights before when we used to walk with our tents. This tent is great its small fits easily into boot of car with holiday luggage. When we travel to the South of France or Spain we put it in the car and that means we can camp on route to our holiday accommodation if we have somewhere booked that takes a long time to drive to. We usually stay with friend in the Pyrenees and stop for a night or two in the Dordogne on the way down.
We have used our tent for complete holidays of about 2 weeks camping with no problems. Camping both in England and abroad.
Have taken this tent to San Jose Spain on the plane its small light so easy to take on plane. We do not usually book ahead so it?s great to either camp in or use if we cannot find an apartment easily.

Fly pitching have done this a few times in this tent if it?s late and we are travelling and need to rest (better than sleeping in the car). That?s one of the reasons we have a green one it is not so easily seen.
I think they make red, orange and blue too

Overall I would recommend this tent if you are camping and need a small fairly light (there are lighter tents for serious backpackers) cheap tent.
I think kids would enjoy this tent in the garden as a trial run for camping. Saves the problem of beds if you have guests with kids let them camp its fun.

Well that?s brought back lots of good camping memories. Happy Camping Thanks for reading Best wishes Mary
