Advantages: It is light.
Disadvantages: Not well balanced.
I have played tennis for all of my life so I would like to think that I know a lot about tennis and a lot about the equipment that is needed. I have played with a lot of different tennis racquets and have played tennis up to a very high standard representing Nottinghamshire and Ruschcliffe. I have played with the Head Ti Heat on a number of occasions just testing it out to see if it is any good. I currently play with a Head Ti Fire, which is the model up from the Ti Heat but is there really a lot of difference. When I first picked up the Head TI Heat it felt like a very nice racquet. It was not very heavy, as it only weighs 255 grams and felt really well balanced. It felt very similar to the Head Ti Fire but the technology in the racquet was not quite as advanced. It did not have a stock shop system in the handle. This means the racquet does not have a mechanism built in to that helps to cut down the vibrations. This in theory could make the racquet uncomfortable to play with and could cause tennis elbow or wrist problems. This did not put me off playing with the racquet and should not put you off, ass the chances of getting tennis elbow are very very slim. The Head Ti Heat is part of the Head Ti Control range. All of the racquets in this range are meant to have a lot of control, but also have a fair bit of power too. This racquet definitely had this. When first playing with this racquet I found that I didn't get that much feel on the ball, which was very surprising as most of the other head racquets that I had played with felt very nice. I found the racquet head quite hard to control and found that I made quite a few unforced errors on shots that I normally would have no problems in making. Serving was particularly hard, as it lacked a lot of feel and I found it difficult to hit a lot of racquet head speed on the ball. Hitting a lot of topspin was also very difficult. I had soon changed my views on the balance
of this racquet. Although in my hand it felt very nice, when it came to hitting the tennis ball I found it a bit unbalanced. I thought that it was poorly weighted so that the middle of the racquet was heavier then the rest of it. This meant that my swing was almost lopsided and was making my contact of the ball poor, thus causing me to make silly mistakes. The racquet looks very good and is very stylish. It is red in colour with a silver stripe and is made from titanium and graphite. The racquet is very strong and doesn't scratch of chip easily, which is always very reassuring. It is a racquet, which I would recommend for a young aggressive player that is looking to take their game to a higher level. At £110 this racquet is quite expensive for what it is but I am sure that it will suit a lot of your games. I suggest that before you buy this racquet, you should try it out. Lots of companies have test racquets. Which are racquets especially made for people to take out of shops and have for a week or so to see if it suits their game. Buying the right tennis racquet for you is very important, and if you are not sure about which racquet to buy, then I am sure that there will be lots of people around to help make your decision easier. I would always recommend going to a shop that specialises in tennis equipment as the staff will know exactly what they are talking about and will therefore be very helpful to you, and will give sound advice. Personally I did not like this racquet very much and would not choose to play with it again. What I would say is don't let this opinion put you off. Everybody’s game is different and therefore different racquets will suit different people. This racquet did not suit me but it might suit you. So give this racquet a try and see what you think of it.
