I know I am writing this review almost a decade after this driver came to prominence, but I can safely say it changed the face of golf. The 975D was the first premium driver I bought. I went for the 7.5 degree with a Grafalloy ProLite X flex shaft. Full titanium construction was a major selling point for this driver, as many of its competitors at the time were still manufacturing with steel. One of its main characteristics was the penetrating flight from the driver, wind was never an issue with this club. Combined with the low flight was the solid feel and muted sound at impact. Its amazing what a small sum of £250 + can do to your golf performance. Sure thre price is expensive noone can debate that. However if you've got it its worth the investment because you'll probably get the money back in prizes for hole in ones on par 4's as you will be able to hit the ball so far. The club improved my driving by at least 40-50 yards. The club with a strong loft will hit the ball out of site in the air and will carry into the distance. You might be asking yourself but what about if you hit one badly? well with smaller clubheads everyone must have severely topped a drive once or twice but with this driver it is so large that it is hard to ...
