Titleist Pro V1x:
... ~ It’s appropriate that I should be writing about the new golf ball from Titleist, the Pro V1x, as I sit watching the last nine holes of the 2003 U.S. Master’s Championship at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. As I type, past Master’s champion Vijay Singh has just launched yet another absolutely enormous drive of well over 330 yards down the 10th fairway, leaving him a relatively simple ... Titleist HP Tour ... try going for the HP Eclipse. This ball is intended for a lower and longer trajectory. However, it is less forgiving than the HP Tour. What quantities can I buy them in? Well, they come in an nicely boxed set of 12 balls. Most balls are bought in dozens and this is no exception. The attractive brown/gold box with the black Piping gives it a sense of regality and a touch of class! With Titleist, you know you are buying good balls anyway. They are so well known through the industry. They are also available in "18 hole" boxes. This is 3 balls and intended for the typical round of golf. You may lose a couple of balls a round so this is the ideal quantit... Read the full review: Feel my soft balls by andycharger |

Titleist HP Eclipse ... was the first Titleist ball I ever tried, and stuck with it for around 8 months, until my game got good enough for a higher spinning ball. This ball does not disappoint in the straight hitting department, as I find it can tame what would normally be a hook into a gentle draw or even turn a fade into an arrow straight drive. Beware though if you think this ball can cure all ills, it might just be a psychological thing - playing better with a ball you know you can hit well with. This ball is great for wet conditions, as I find it easier to hit long putts on wet greens than with the HP Tour. This really is a great all round ball for anyone looking to try Titlist o... Titleist HP Tour ... cover, as this elimates the click feeling at impact often felt with lower quality balls (especially Top Flite). Unfortunately I have only really played this ball on soft and slightly wet greens, so I find it hard to know how it would play on harder greens but I find it good on long putts and short chips alike. Whenever I tee the ball up, I find it a great confidence builder to see the "Titleist" logo peering up at me, and I feel like I can hit straight long drives every time, even if some are wayward I know the ball isn't to blame. I also find that just using the same ball all the time aids consistency - rather than just pulling the first ball that co...
