Advantages: Great fun, Healthy

Disadvantages: Nothing

When I was about 5, every Thursday I went Trampolining, I was quite a sporty ickle kid, as well as bouncing up and down every Thursday for fun, I also did gymnastics about 4 times a week and played a lot of football with my dad. Then came a problem, if I wanted to carry on training as a gymnast (Which I was pretty good at if I may say so myself!) then I needed to give up trampolining altogether so I could do extra gym training, so at around the age of 7 I gave up trampolining.

I carried on with my gymnastics until I joined secondary school, with loads of homework and hardly any spare time I made the BIG decision of giving up gymnastics. All I was left with was football.

I play football very regularly now and am in an all female football team in a proffesional league, this helps me to keep in shape and to remain fit, but now the holidays are here, I don't walk to school and have PE regularly so I looked at the courses that my local sports centre run during the holidays.

I found a trampolining course that looked great, it was on every week on a Tuesday all through the holidays. It was only £3 a session which lasted from 2pm till 4. I grabbed my mate Laura (loz100) and we went together.

So far we've been on the first two courses and have found them great, the best thing is though that my coach from when I was younger was the person teaching these sessions.

Each session we do a warm-up and then the normal routine bounces to get us ready which are:

straight jumps
straddle jumps
pike jumps
tuck jumps
seat drops
front drops
back drops

After many of these we go on to different things like sumi's. (sumasaults) and link play which is where you link many different moves together to create a routine. These are all really good fun.

We sometimes play games too, there are many to choose from and all are fun. Fancy a bounce, pop down to your local sports centre, trampolining
is very healthy and wicked fun, you never get tired of it. Don't worry if you've never done it before, it's really easy.

I've enjoyed these courses so much, I think I might start up trampolining again when school starts. I've even tried to convince my mum to buy us a trampoline since my mum shares my interests in bouncing up and down, she seemed very interested but I doubt I'll ever get one! Thanks for reading. ~M~

All it means is that if you want to cash in your miles for cash then you will have to wait until you get to 55,000 miles instead of 50,000 but if you want to save them up and wait til you get to 100,000 miles you will get all of your miles in cash, no penalty. hope that clears it up for you.;o)
