Advantages: lightweight high spec bike

Disadvantages: none

I have rcently purchased a Trek 6500 mountain bike after much deliberation. The reasons for settling on this particular model were, good spec, good value, well built and great looking piece of kit.If you struggle on hills then this lightweight responsive machine is the one for you.27 Gears help with all terrain, great brakes help with stopping quickly and lightweight helps all round. So if you are looking for a mid priced mountain bike give this one serious consideration.I am very happy with this bike.

This review gives a good over view of the 6500, i currently have a 6000 and will be writing a review on it. Your review doesn't give much of the spec away which would help a lot. good review though

I used to have a Trek 850 6 years ago, good bikes, good spec for the price too & I had a warranty frame claim that went through seamlessly. I now ride an Orange E4, fantastic bit of kit, recomend it to anyone.
Full Sus is the way forward for me & disc brakes - gotta happen someday I'm afraid!
Not so sure of the Trek full sus stuff, doesn't seem to come in as well on weight, price & reviews as their hard tail stuff!
Sub 5, Mountvision, or heckler, one of will be my next buy, or will it be a prst1?!
