... brought this bike about four years ago as I wanted a decent mountain bike to use for commuting, but also something I could thrash around at the weekends in the countryside. The Trek 4500 fulfills both of these with ease. Although it s not the cheapest bike around (I was planning on spending about 200 quid) the extra money does give you a set of Rock Shox Judy front forks and Bontranger rims, handlebars etc. I also picked one in US Postal colours - black frame with red, white and blue swashes - nice! ... know that a lot of people are struggling with their finances, but imagine this, if you treat yourself to the Trek 6700 I am reviewing here, you would save absolutely tonnes of money on expensive fuel bills, tax and insurance. On top of the great savings you will have a load of fun and get fit at the same time. The purpose of this review is to really show you that there are worthwhile alternatives to those cheap bikes.
