Advantages: Good boots
Disadvantages: not quite up there with the market leaders
I bought these boots to last me the last few weeks of the season and frankly im well impressed! OK, so they were only £18 form the Donnay shop but they have done the job. After looking how England played tonight, it appears their expensive boots dont help them anymore than my cheapies. My last boots (reeboks) lasted me 6 months and fell apart and cost me twice what I paid for my Stings. Umbro Sting come in 2 varieties. Moulded Studs or Screw ins. After losing so many studs out of my Reeboks, I decided to go for moulded and I have so far seen no difference. Control is not as good but they have a nice padded toe and they fit quite snuggly. They do have a lace guard so you dont scuff your shots on the top of your foot. Only problem is it does not sit over the laces too well. They come in 2 colours. Blue with White logos and Black with White logos. I went for the standard black ones as I think the coloured boots look very ugly. In fact, the Umbro Sting looks very Classic. for £18 what more do you want? An adult boot that looks good, is comfortable and seems quite durable. Give em a try if you need a pair to last you to next season.
