Great family/weekend tent (Vango Venture 500 Tent)
Member Name: ilovecamping
Advantages: cheap decent tent. Good size and use of space Disadvantages: buy better pegs. Pegs that come with tents are naff I love this tent. I bought mine about 5 years ago and it has taken some hammer. It has been in some heavy storms in wales, extreme winds in bridlington and has always kept us sheltered and dry. If you are new to camping and want more room then a small dome tent I reckon this is the best starting tent. It is usually around £80 and it really is value for money. I cant even count the number of times mine has been used. and it is still going strong apart from the wear and tear of 3 rouge children and 2 dogs. Dont get me wrong there are far better tents on the market but for the money it really is a good tent. With practice it can be put up on your own. Im only 5ft 2 and managed it with 2 little ones many times. Its good aswell for a family tent for popping off for weekends. Room enough for all to sit inside if the weather is bad but also small enough that it wont take ages to set up. Summary: A great tent and value for money |
