Even though Tony Hawk's the infamous skater who popularised skating skates vert none of the new comers to skating seem to want to. I have skated vert for 3 years and can get 3 feet of air and do a couple of grabs, trust me it's much more fun than popping a kickflip down some stairs which I can also do and therefore my comparison is based upon my own experiences and not other opinions.
