If you have rings around your eyes unrelated to the amount of sleep you got, you might be a swimmer.

~~~ Introduction ~~~
As some some of you may have realised by now I do a bit of swimming now and again, so I get through my fair share of swimming equipment and see what's good and what is not. I recently bought some new goggles, View Blade V120's.
~~~ Design ~~~

When I first saw these goggles I was fascinated. To be honest there aren't really that many types goggles that look a lot different from each other. The Blade V120's did though, they have a fairly large piece of plastic that protrudes from the bottom of the goggle that gives it a very different appearance. The idea behind this added piece of plastic is to improve the aerodynamics of the goggle, as normal goggles just sit in the eye socket and stick out. I thought it was a brilliant idea that View had had to make the goggle fill the eye socket and go down onto the top of the cheek to make your face flatter and reduce the resistance from the water.

The View Blade V120 also has a very sturdy strap that seems as though it will last along time and will not snap easily. It has a little buckle at the rear so that you can easily adjust how tight they are and get the perfect fit. They are also attached securely through the goggle at the other side so there is no chance of them coming off there either, which is always good when they need to be relied upon.

The goggles also have an interchangeable nose piece to ensure a perfect fit. Supplied with the goggles are a range of different sized nose bridges which can easily be changed via a simple locking mechanism which will ensure that when attached they won't easily come apart.

The View Blade V120's are available in a range of different colours to suit your personal taste. The colours available include blue, clear, black and a mirrored version. Personally I choose the goggles in black and am quite pleased.

~~~ Comfort ~~~
How comfy a pair of goggles is is one of the key factors that you should take into account. These goggles have no cushioned rubber around the edge which I find puts a lot of people off, but I found them extremely comfortable that they fitted my face perfectly and I could easily wear them for a long training session with out any discomfort. However I do know other people who have tried these goggles and have not found them very comfortable. Sometimes it takes a while to get used to a pair of goggles and you need to ensure that they have been set up properly so that they aren't too lose or too tight.
From personal experience I have found that they fit extremely well they are very comfortable and I have never had a problem with them leaking or falling off. They have been very reliable which is what you want form a pair of goggles especially when doing competitions.
Another key factor when looking a goggles is how well can you see when wearing them. I was very impressed with these as they were very clear. I think this was due to the entire goggle being made from the transparent plastic and having no rubber frames which can obstruct your field of vision. They seemed to have a good anti fog coating which stopped them from steaming up but if you use them a lot like I do you find that this quickly wears off. As I had chosen the black tinted goggles they made everything appear darker which I didn't mind but is something that you need to look at carefully because I have tried blue and yellow goggles before and they give a completely different feel.
~~~ Price ~~~

The View Blade V120 can be purchased from around £12 and go up to about £23 for the ones with a mirrored finish which is a big difference if you ask me. But £12 is a great price for a good pair of competitive swimming goggles that should last a long time.

~~~ Conclusion ~~~
From personal use I found these to be a brilliant pair of goggles that fitted me perfectly but you should always try before you buy to ensure a perfect water tight and comfortable fit. They are great if you enjoy swimming and are quite serious about it and want do everything to make your time that little bit faster by making yourself as streamlined as possible. Overall I was very impressed and would definitely recommend them if you are in the market for a new decent pair of goggles.
Thank you all for reading, I hope you found it interesting
