Advantages: keeps good handling with big wheels and light frame

Disadvantages: price

The voodoo aizan is a bike you probably haven'yt heard of before. Voodoo bikes, designed by Joe Murray have carved them selves out a nice little niche in the market for 29 inch hardtails and the aizan is a bike seriously worth checking out.

On first impressions the bike looks a bit odd, as any huge bike designed for a not so huge person is bound to do. The larger wheels mean less material has to be used on the frame, and this combined with Voodoo's excellent frame building techniques goes to make one seriously light bike.

Larger wheeled bikes have many key advantages over small wheeled bikes and the aizan is a great example of thess. It rolls almost effortlessly over bumps and unlike some 29ers it also handles well in the corners.

The biggest disadvantage with this bike is the price. It costs nearly £2000 which is too much for all but the hardest of hardcore hardtail fans. This is a great bike but the price is very high compared to similar brands

Summary: a truly excellent but expensive product
