Disadvantages: No air pressure after a very short time

We had a little problem after we had been shopping in Watford.
We got to the car park to find the tyre flat, we (hubby) knew we had a problem with one of the tyre's a v slow leak needs a new tyre really. Oh hum what do we do?
Too far to the petrol station to fill up on air so off he toddles to Wilkinson's to see if he can but a cheap pump , it might come in useful one day.

So he buys a shiny new double barreled foot pump, this also has a pressure gauge on it. He paid their princely price of £4.99.
He gaily pumped up one tyre this ok he said. He then proceeded to pump another tyre up.
Uh ohh No pressure , pump, pump, pump his little foot went up and down pumping for all his might , no pressure , no air coming out of the silver barrels. Hubby did a little dance around the car tried once more, desperate now, as where he had opened the valve to fix the pump to it the air was slowly being released.
So off him trolls again back to Wilkies. He comes back with a small smile on his face the nice assistant at Wilkinson's had been ever so polite and apologetic said oh dear no one has ever brought one back before I am so sorry she refunded hubby's money and sold him a single barreled foot pump. No double barreled ones left in the shop after about for no pressure after 1 tyre. The tale of which I shall tell you another time.
So basically this foot pump was as good as nearly useless.

This pump did look fairly fragile not robust, but then it was under a fiver. The barrels were a silvery colour as was the support plate toy put your foot on to pump, pump, pump. It was not very heavy and big enough for hubby's size 9's.
Would I recommend? NO.
