HISTORY ~ ~ The Wilson Sporting Goods Company started life back in 1913, as the result of a Chicago based slaughterhouse looking for new and innovative ways to use the by-products of their gruesome trade. They hit on the ingenious ides of using pig’s bladders in the manufacture of American footballs, and thus the Wilson company started its existence.
