Rossignol DV Cruise: ... have had a pair of Rossignol DV Cruise skis for years now, and I'd like to recommend the company to anyone who is buying skis. When I bought them, all of the hype was over the Salomon 'monocoque' ski range. I opted for the cheaper and more stylish Rossignol skis instead. They have been great - they still look almost new and they still ski like a dream! I have tried other brands of skis over the years a...

simon_church Salomon Synapse
... Saloman Synapse range of Snowboarding boots are different from the rest. They are apsolutely perfect for any type of snowboarding. Saloman is a ski and a snowboarding make, and all of their equiptment is top quality. The Synapse boots are predominantly made from suede and leather on the outside. The sole is made from a very hard rubber, which means that they will not get ruined when not walking on snow. The only problem i have encountered with them is that on the outside of the right boot, there has obviously been quite a large amount of rubbing between the binding and the boot, and has shown some wear. However, the wear has no where near broken through to the...

Bombtrack Salomon Snowblade
... boarding is a new and upcoming extreme sport. I rate it almost as good as snowboarding, and snowboarding is amazing! It helps if you've skied before when trying to learn it, and it also helps if you've skated before. I hadn't skied before and I picked it up within two hours on a dry ski slope. It's really fun and easy to learn but also a tad expensive. At the dry slope centre near me, it's £10 a night, and I get about 2 hours. That includes hire of the boots, and ski boards. Then the cost of the actual ski boards ranges from £60, which are most likely to be terrible, to around £250. The best at the moment seem to be Line Skiboards, esp...

Siward Bindings & Step-Ins - General Comments & Tips
... you know you snowboards you'll know that Burton are one of the top manufacturers of Snowboards across the world- BUT they made a real boob with their Step In system. Brought onto the market in 1999 the SI system was supposed to be the ultimate in ease. Instead of messing around with the ratched bindings you just stepped in, the clicked and you went on your way. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. After 5 metres of walking on the snow, the interface between boot and board WILL clog up and you WILL have to spend 5 minutes chipping out snow and ice. I don't know if this is the same for other step in systems, but i would think that it is. my advice- STEER CLEAR OF...
