Salomon X-Scream Series:
... love salomon. I've got the skis: x-scream 9s, boots: axe 8.0s, bags for boots skis and clothes and I've got there poles. I've spent loads on salomon gear and i could never fault it. The skis are great, cut perfectly through the snow, but sadly i've been treated unsatisfactorally over their poles. I bought x-scream poles to match the skis a few years ago. They were perfect until I fell over and one b... Read the full review: Salomon: good then bad by boffy |

Salomon Snowblade ... seen the evolution of the Saloman Snowblade over the last few years I finally donned a pair last Christmas... and I have never had such fun!!! At first I found the blade slightly hard to control due to its length (varies from 60-120 centimetres) but soon was having a whale of a time. Instead of traditional ski bindings, the blade features a clip-in, clip-out binding. The boot is placed on a rubber reinforcement in the centre of the ski. The back is then clipped in (fits over the same binding clip as a normal ski would) then a toe clip holds the front of the boot. The blade will fit size 12 (childs) to size 14 boots. Changing the size is easy. Ruts under the... Read the full review: Snowblades for All!!!!! by ladyoftheflowers |

Rossignol 9X Pro Race Carver ... years Rossi 9X race carver has changed graphics (still bright yellow) but remained the same underneath. A great ski for skiing most conditions, a stiffness in the tail that makes for a fun ride at high speeds. Not really for all skiers, you will want to be comfortable carving your turns on most slopes and feel that you put a lot into your skiing and expect to get some reaction in each turn. Still some reservations about the Rossi build quality, they seem to have thinner edges than any other ski, the base gets easily damaged and the top coat is prone to cracking. All in all, still one of the best skis on the market, but ski it short (170cm or 184cm if your are rea... Read the full review: Rossignol 9X Pro Race Carver by tomba |

Bobsleigh ... sport-training camp at Lillehammer This was a camp for real adrenaline junkies, sliding down and occasionally into the Olympic bobsleigh track at Lillehammer, Norway. After reading an article about skeleton sliding (basically head first on what looks like a kids sledge) I contacted the British bobsleigh association who also run skeleton. They invited me to join them with other like-minded nutters at one of the training camps that was to be run during October 99. The camp is run by the association to identify people with potential to progress onto the British team in the 3 sliding disciplines of Luge, skeleton & bobsleighs. The first day was spent travelling and ... Read the full review: Skeleton Bobsleigh - the ultimate buzz by |
