Advantages: Great to watch as a neutral fan!

Disadvantages: No England!!

As we are now into the knockout stages of Euro 2008, I thought it was appropriate to start my review on the tournament and I will endeavour to update the review once the tournament has been completed.

As we are all aware England did not qualify for this years Euro 2008 tournament, which as a true England fan was extremely disappointing. However it is always fun watching the tournament as a neutral and it makes it a less stressful watch too!!

The favourites at the start of the tournament were Germany and with their victory against Portugal in the first quarterfinal game yesterday they may fulfil this prophecy! However the best team in the group stages were definitely the Dutch. Beating Italy 3-0, France 4-1 and Romania 2-0 it looks like Holland are going to be the toughest team to defeat in the knout out stages of this tournament.

So far the tournament has been extremely fun to watch with some great attacking football from all the sides involved and there have been some great upsets already in the tournament. Lets hope the knockout stages are just as good!!
