Newest Review: ... best and I heard on the radio that it was overwhelmed for this event. What is the air show? The Airshow itself is a free event. Given this fact it was reasonable to expect it to be busy. We left early and managed to get parked in a decent spot. I think it may have been one of the last available spaces in the free car park as the majority of spaces was taken up by caravanettes which had set up camp there. Portrush can be a cold and blustery spot and on the day I went it felt more like mid winter than the end of the summer. Northern Ireland International Airshow The Northern Ireland International Airshow has now been running for about 7-8 years and is held annually at the end of the summer in Portrush believe that last year the event was on the first weekend of September. I have always been a fan of aircraft and spent many happy years in the air cadets and this year decided to check to the Airshow for myself. Where is Portrush Portrush is located at the top of Northern Ireland. It's a small sea side resort which is passed it's hey day.
