      Very helpful

I started doing this video about 3 months ago. It consists of 9 areas and supposedly exercises your entire body. You are supposed to feel trimmer, slimmer and altogether better about yourself. The video contains : The Warm Up - about 5 minutes Slide and Glide - what it says while looking very stupid :) also about 5 mins Disco salsa - the best bit of the routine, dancing away the pounds, about 8 mins Body Groove - exhausting, especially after dancing, I usually skip this one he he The Cool Down - the relaxing bit Lunges - agony! Press-ups Sit-ups - not the normal kind I can assure you. The Meltdown - mmmmmm . .candles . .good music . .and oh yes, painful stretches on your carpet. The first time I tried the video it was fantastic, the little jokes in it kept me going, I found some parts hard and other parts easier but I was encouraged all the time. I woke up the following day in absolute agony!!! I couldn't bear to do the video for a week until my muscles stopped spasming. (afterwards upon joining a gym - what I was reluctant to do - I learnt that the video had not shown me HOW to exercise, it had just shown me what to do, therefore I sprained a lot of muscles) After doing the video for a month, two to three times a week as suggested (minus the first week as my muscles got used to the idea of exercise) I got very bored of it. I had not lost any weight despite eating a healthier diet which the video said I did not need to do anyway. I felt slightly trimmer but not much and flexing muscles still pained me somewhat. I was also getting sick of Patys's smarmy jokes. The video was abandoned and I joined a gym. Conclusion - yes you've guessed it, I lost nearly a stone at the gym combined with a non-carbohydrate diet and now I have changed my lifestlye instead of my video collection. I'd say the video was a failure but so would my doctor.
