This 3 disc DVD set takes you on a complete journey of The Rocks life in and out of the ring. With the first disc dedicated to a documentary which runs a few minutes short of 2 hours. It takes you from Dwaynes childhood, his college football days, his rise to the top of the sports entertainment business, conquering the film industry and his hugely anticipated return to the squared circle in 2011 to thank the millions....and millions of Rock Fans and to give back to the business which no doubt made him the Superstar he is today.
The Documentary features several new interviews with Vince McMahon, HHH, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, John Cena, CM Punk, JR, Pat Patterson and Ron Simmons.
The Rock also reveals for the first time ever why he left and stayed away from WWE for so long (I won't spoil it) but sounds real genuine
Discs 2 & 3 are entirely dedicated to the many great matches and moments from The Rocks legendary career. Starting with his debut match in the WWE way back in 1996 at the Survivor Series PPV. The Rock competed in a multi man traditional elimination match alongside Marc Mero, Barry Windham & Jake 'The Snake' Roberts to take on HHH, Goldust, Crush & Jerry 'The King' Lawler in front of a sold out Madision Square Garden. This DVD then continues to showcase many of The Rocks legendary battles against Stone Cold Steve Austin, HHH, Mick Foley in such battles as:
* Ladder match for IC Title against Triple H (Summerslam 1998)
* I Quit match for WWE Championship against Mankind (Royal Rumble 1999)
Plus many more....
If you're anything like me and collect every single WWE ppv available then it might be a waste of money since you're most likely to own most of the matches on disc 2&3 already. But I do recommend this DVD to big fans of The Rock (especially the documentary) also there are a few hidden gems of matches and moments from their tv shows Raw & Smackdown that have never been released on DVD before including:
* The Rock vs Ric Flair RAW (29/07/02)
* The Rock & Undertaker vs Edge & Christian - World Tag Team Championship match ( 18/12/00)
* The Rocks return to RAW 2003 & 2011 etc.
As this DVD set does feature a ton of footage from the Attitude era, it does contain blurring of the WWF scratch logo but tbh it's not distracting in anyway from the actual content and would not effect your viewing.
The whole running time of this DVD is approx 7.5 hours
