I ve previously held season tickets at the Stadium of Light and still get to matches when I can, finances permitting. When it first was named I wasn t sure at all about the name, but now think it suits the ground. Can t be as bad as Sports direct @ St. James Park anyway. Haha. The Stadium of Light is the best football ground I ve been to. I went to Old Trafford expecting it to blow me away, but compared to my home ground it was like an old tin shed. ... in advance for the short and probably no-so-useful review, but we visited Paradise Island Adventure Golf in August and dooyoo have only just added it to their catalogue, hence I m going on 3-month old memories here... We encountered Paradise Island almost by accident after shopping in the Trafford Centre in Manchester (which isn t half as goos as Meadowhall, but that s another review). Y see, one great thing about the Trafford Centre is that there s a lot of decent restaurants there, there s a cinema and there s Paradise Island. stellios DW Stadium (Wigan Athletic FC)
... dooyoo 1st off you need to update this to its new name the DW stadium!! Having worked there as a crowd steward and visted numerous times as a fan I know the stadium like the back of my hand. The stadium itself was a new build facility(1999) designed to host Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors. From the exterior it sits well between a new midsize reatail park and a large supermarket. The interior is looks basic but works well on matchdays, the majority of the seating offer good fews but as pointed out in previous reviews can be awkward when the action is the corners of the playing field and during the winter months wrap up warm. Away fans need not worry about space...
