DW Stadium (Wigan Athletic FC) ... dooyoo 1st off you need to update this to its new name the DW stadium!! Having worked there as a crowd steward and visted numerous times as a fan I know the stadium like the back of my hand. The stadium itself was a new build facility(1999) designed to host Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors. From the exterior it sits well between a new midsize reatail park and a large supermarket. The interior is looks basic but works well on matchdays, the majority of the seating offer good fews but as pointed out in previous reviews can be awkward when the action is the corners of the playing field and during the winter months wrap up warm. Don Valley Stadium (Sheffield) ... Don Valley Stadium is Rotherham Uniteds home ground. It is located just south west of the town centre. The sports ground is used for many things - not just football and rugby. My1st experience of the Don Valley stadium was at school when our athletics team competed against other schools in the South Yorkshire area. Back then the stadium was pretty impressive to a 12 year old. As ive aged so has the stadium, it now feels a little old fashioned and neglected in parts. The stadium hosts bands and artists from around the world but I would probably imagine that it isn t their favourite place to play. Pride Park (Derby County FC) ... my reviews from an away fan.... Ticket Price (Adult): £24 Match: Derby v Coventry I never got to go to the Baseball ground so can t compare it to that but Pride Park follows the usual new build Stadium design. The only thing that I feel makes it unique is there are some boxes in one corner (which is why the left corner is raised in the picture). Getting To The Stadium - Finding Pride Park is easy enough and it s pretty well signposted. Traffic also seems to be pretty low on the way in as we were able to drive right up to the stadium without facing many (if any) wait times.
