Esporta Health Clubs (Leeds)
by Alex
I visited Esporta Wandsworth on 18/10/2010 having a British Gas voucher for a free swim entitle two adults to enter.
One member of staff who positioned herself as a Manager was very rude, bossy and patronizing. She refused my friend and me to enter, stating that each person must have a separate voucher, which was not the case, ... and I proved this later.
To make my first experience even worse, and when I asked to see a senior manager, she had made a lie story, that it was me, who were rude and was using a foul language! The lie was appalling!
I totally agree that these people have no understanding of the customer service whatsoever, and they do not care what impression their guests can have in the end.
As I was not giving the entry, I cannot comment on their facilities inside, but I have had enough in so-called "front-line service".
If you respect yourself, your dignity and your privacy - stay away from Esporta! Read the complete review |

Wye Valley Canoes
by RachJayne
We only decided that we fancied going kayaking on the Wednesday and I honestly thought it would be too late to book especially in August. After trawling the internet I found Wye Valley Canoes and emailed them to ask for availability on the Sunday. The reply was quick, polite and very helpful and best of all they had 4 kayaks available ... for us which would be reserved if I emailed back confirmation.
We could arrive at the centre in Glasbury On Wye at anytime before 10.30am as we were hiring the boats for the full day. The centre itself was easy to find but busy. As soon as we pulled into the small and full parking area a young man came across to assist, saying there was additional parking across the road and if we wanted to leave any of our belongings with him to save carrying them back again that would be fine. Upon our return we were fitted for life jackets, measured for oars and given a talk about the river and which way to go, where to stop for our picnic and other helpful hints along with a waterproof map and a container for our phones and cameras. They do ask that you take a mobile phone with you and there phone number is printed on everything they give to you.
Money was exchanged for 4 kayaks for 2 adults, a 14 year old and a 16 year old with the total coming to £60. The kayaks were ready and a young man demonstrated the best way for us to paddle and before we knew it we were off. In my case this was in more ways than one as within seconds I was grounded and had to climb out into the river to get going again. After this first blip it was fine, all down stream so not too strenuous and the water was shallow enough to stand up in which made me happier.
For the day hire you have 11 miles of paddling to do which did seem daunting for a total beginner but I could have gone further with no problem. We stopped at Hay on Wye which was the half way point and the point that the half day hire ends. We left the boats at the dock and walked into the town for a bite to eat and a drink before continuing our journey. The end point was "The Boat Inn" at Whitney where we dragged the boats up some steep steps to the pub garden, I can't say that this was the highlight of the day, and phoned the Centre to be collected. We only had to wait about 10 minutes before they pulled up into the car park to take us back to our car.
Overall we had a fantastic day out, truly memorable and we will be recommending it to everyone and will certainly be doing it again we may even do the camping tour over a couple of nights which they will help you to arrange. The staff were friendly, polite and very informative all adding to the relaxed nature of the day.
Other boats are available including Canadian canoes and 2 person kayaks. They do not allow children under 5 to use the boats or solo paddlers. Read the complete review |

Go Ballistic Paintball
by Peter Gray
Not sure why people keep giving such negative reviews on this because i've booked with go ballistic several times, its really easy to do and they give you times and dates available straight away over the phone. Some people are just never satisfied with an easy booking service. You can book paintballs before you go or just buy them on the ... day. i've also never booked with a company that provide you with a map and directions so you dont get lost on the day!!and even if you manage to get lost the booking line is open on a saturday when most other companies aren't!! I would definately recommend booking with them and if you're not happy with the service I can only suggest that you are being far too picky and determined to have a rubbish time before you even get there because our group thought it was very simple and organised!!
