Liverpool, following their UEFA cup success against AS Roma, have not only shown that English club football is as strong as ever, but they have proved that they themselves are beginning to push Manchester United on the quality of their squad. Although there is a long way to go, the likes of Owen, Fowler, Litmanen, Heskey, Gerrard and Smicer to name but a few, have created a new sense of pride and passion at Anfield and for Liverpool FC.
The creative gameplay has returned and Liverpool are now far more exciting to watch than a couple of years ago. The style is good but the consistency must remain if they are to challenge Man U to the Premiership. The squad is very close to being excellent, and although I don’t support Liverpool it’s good to have them back for the moment.

Anfield has always been one of the most football inspiring stadiums as it is the crowd that backs the team through thick and thin. Tickets are reasonably costly although probably inline with most other Premiership clubs but still far more expensive than on the continent.

Ticket costs for example:-

Home match against Derby County. Tickets range from £21 (Kop Grandstand) to £34.50 Anfield Road Stand).

Accessibility:-

Anfield is highly accessible from all from all major routes into Liverpool which cuts out possible frustration before a match as far as transport may be concerned. Public transport also enables easy access to Anfield (Lime Street Railway Station only 2 miles away) and bus services are regular and stop reasonably close to the ground itself.

Ground itself:-

Capacity of 45,000.
Disabled access to stands.
St Johns Ambulance present (1 for every 1000 spectators).
Pitch size of 101x79 metres.
