I have been a keen golf player for the last 2 years or so and spent quite a lot of time trying out the local courses before deciding which to commit to. One of the most challenging in Essex. Really enjoyable. My other half insisted I write this on his behalf...with his narration. Basildon Golf Course is one of the best, for a really challenging game. It is a long course, very hilly, with lots of blindshots, it`s a Par 72 & can be very difficult. It can also be quite cheap, after 5pm,(summer) it is only £9.50 a round. There`s a well stocked Golf shop, also selling Food/drink & for smokers..cigarettes. The Clubhouse sells good low priced Bar snacks & meals, also cheap Lager at £1.70 a pint.
