Imagine you've just started out playing golf (like me) you have some clubs, but you cannot really afford to join a club and pay 2000 a year in green fees. Not only this but the par 4's usually take you 9 .... Obviously you're not going to be going to Glenn Eagles to play. How about Beckenham Park? This is a lovely little course, par 68, which rolls up and down over it's 18 holes. Don't get me wrong - it's not a course to avoid if you are good - far from it - all I am saying is that it is a perfect introduction to the game. The staff are friendly and helpful - you can hire clubs if you need and a round during the week won't ...
