Billingbear Golf Club is located in Hurst in Berkshire. It is a very old Victorian golf club which was re-opened just 4 years ago after being closed for 90 years, for which time it was just a field.

This friendly club boasts nine challenging holes including the 5th, which has a lake right next to the hole and the 6th, where you have to drive over the lake to reach the fairway. The course is good for any standard of golf. It is advisable to book a tee time but they will always try to find you a slot if you just turn up. Martin the Pro is always willing to help and will give practical advice on your game.

The course also has a new 9-hole par 3 course which is great if you want to practice your short game.

This course is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Green fees are very reasonable, £8 for 9 holes and £12 for 18 holes on the standard course.
