Cantref Riding School ... Hacking, Horse Riding, Riding lessons or Trail Riding. Ride along Quiet Valleys,across country streams, in the mountains and watch the living countryside, with the many wild animals,Kestrels gliding high above ,rabbits playing in the fields, the Welsh hill farmer working away in the field,or even the best fisherman around(the heron). At the riding centre we take every care that all riders enjoy their day. Our experienced, guides will make every effort to help you enjoy your ride. All rides receive basic instruction in our outdoor riding school before leaving the Centre for your ride into the hills. We are at the fore front of mountain activities. Our knowledge and experience over these years has led to many, many return visitors. If you make Pony Trekking part of your Holiday it is one thing which you and your family/friends will remember, with fond memories, for years to come.

“Nah, we’re used to it, we do it all the time,” was the nonchalant response to my friend’s slightly apprehensive questioning on the wisdom of allowing a group of 20 riders, (mostly beginners) loose into the open Welsh countryside with only 2 guides to keep control! I’m an experience rider ,so not nervous, but was still sceptical about the likelihood of this 5 hour ride being chaos-free! However, we had chosen this place because we wanted to see the Brecon Beacons and it was cheap. £25 for five hours. You’d pay more than that for an hour's ride in many places in South East England.
