~ ~ Castlewarden is a relatively new parkland course located only sixteen miles from the centre of Dublin just off the main Cork road. It opened its doors for play in 1990, and was designed by the famous Irish golfer and golf course architect Tom Craddock, who was also responsible for designing the now famous Druid’s Glen course in Co. Wicklow, home of the Irish Open for the past few years. It’s a pleasant enough parkland course, and while not too physically demanding, will prove a good test of ability for golfers of all levels.
