As an away supporter my view will be different to a Dover regular, but will be more useful to your average away fan.

This is an easy one to get to. M20/A20 then up the high street and it's on your left into Lewisham Road. It's in the village of River. Park there or go through the gates. The ground is half way up a hill! Below is a rugby/cricket pitch with an old pavilion. A path leads up to the ground entrance, and lends quite a view over the surrounding countryside.

The average Conference prices apply. The ground seems to have been cut out of the hillsde which surrounds it. The slope on the pitch is quiet noticable. About a six feet drop from side to side I estimate.

It is only segregated for certain matches. You know the ones. To get to the away section you turn left out of the turnstiles and around the back of the main stand. Otherwise the ground is your oyster. The main stand is only small and can only seat 400? Along from that is the rather ramshakle club bar, but it serves it's purpose. Raised covered terracing at both ends, the roof supports form a bit of an obstruction to the view. A small covered stand with a few 'corporate hospitality' boxes on top of it opposite the entrance is available if you wish to watch the game from a seated position. The view is fine from the seats, but becomes more restrictive the larger the crowd. Stewards are present in reasonable numbers and competent and helpful.

There are basic facilites, toilets, refreshments etc, and the range of refreshments is ok.

It's an unusual place, but is one of my favorites, it's a pity I have yet to see my lot win there! Well worth a visit.
