Craven Cottage (Fulham FC)Newest Review: ... the none-river stand is completely traditional, and really makes you turn your head; far more than today's massive feats of engineering do. 2) The location of the stadium is also phenonemal. As you approach from the nearby tube station and walk along the river; you feel as if you could be out in the countryside, rather than in the hub of central london. As you walk through the park on the ... more |

Overview ----------- Craven cottage is right up there with my favourite grounds around the UK. I had not visited there before this year when i went to watch the Fulham - Aston Villa match. I was very very impressed with this ground as it offered me something completely different to todays traditional football stadiums. Advantages --------------- 1) The first great feature that the Cottage has is its heritage. Being built in the pre-war days, the stadium has real charm that you would associate more with a country property than a football ground. The whole of the none-river stand is completely traditional, and really makes you turn your ... Read the complete review

Craven Cottage has to rank among my favourite away days, not because of intense rivalry or amazing atmosphere, but it's just a nice day out! The small walk from Putney isn't your ordinary matchday walk. Granted you have the busy pub right outside the tube station, but from thereon the fast food vendors and pubs surrounded by bouncers are replaced with quaint cafes to buy a panini and a nice park opposite the Thames. Once inside the ground it almost has a temporary yet traditional feel to it. The one-tier stands shake as crowds walk upon it, and the open corners give nice views of coxless fours rowing along the river. The Fulham fans aren't noisy, but the ... Read the complete review

Having a family member who works for Fulham, i've visited Craven Cottage many a time, often having to try to contain my emotion supporting Newcastle in the home end. The stadium was redeveloped a few seasons ago and currently can hold 26,600 people. Craven Cottage is very easy to get to by tube and by bus from main London links and the congestion is minimal as the ground is a bit of a walk from the transport links. It is by far the easiest London ground to travel to in my opinion and one of the most pleasant. When you step off the bus or train, and walk past the pub usually ravaged with away fans, you get to enjoy a nice walk down the river through a nice ... Read the complete review

I visited Craven Cottage last weekend to watch the game between Fulham and Stoke City. It was a good experience and the Stadium itself is quite nice and cosy but is a bit old fashioned and relatively small. The stadium is the home of Fulham Football Club who currently play in the English Premier League. It is based in the Hammersmith and Fulham area of London and is situated right by the River Thames next to Bishops Park. The stadium currently has a capacity of around 25,500 and is now an all seater stadium having previously had standing areas. It is one of the smallest stadiums in the Premiership and is an old fashioned stadium, one of the oldest in the ... Read the complete review

Craven Cottage is the home ground of Fulham FC, a team currently in the English Premier League, who have the distinction of being the oldest professional club in London. Based in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, they are often overshadowed by their more illustrious neighbours, Chelsea FC, though they actually share a bigger rivalry with Brentford, but they are currently in League Two, thee divisions below. Ironically Chelsea was formed in 1905 when Fulham FC turned down the chance to play at the newly built Stamford Bridge, a ground that remains Chelsea's home to this day. Craven Cottage is situated on the banks of the Thames, next to the picturesque Bishops Park ... Read the complete review
