Advantages: Lovely location, good away atmosphere

Disadvantages: Quiet home crowd

Craven Cottage has to rank among my favourite away days, not because of intense rivalry or amazing atmosphere, but it's just a nice day out!
The small walk from Putney isn't your ordinary matchday walk. Granted you have the busy pub right outside the tube station, but from thereon the fast food vendors and pubs surrounded by bouncers are replaced with quaint cafes to buy a panini and a nice park opposite the Thames.
Once inside the ground it almost has a temporary yet traditional feel to it. The one-tier stands shake as crowds walk upon it, and the open corners give nice views of coxless fours rowing along the river. The Fulham fans aren't noisy, but the Putney End, the supposed 'neutral' end always has a good atmosphere although the majority are away fans.
Policing around the area is good, which isn't a shock considering the price of houses in the area, and I've never seen more people turn up to football matches wearing suits, so I never felt unsafe around the ground.
I'd say Fulham is one of my favourite away grounds. You don't expect banter with the home fans, but you always get a nice day out... and 3 points on a good day!
